What Actually Happens During One of Our One-Day Shoots

A one time content shoot with Socialyte is not just someone showing up with a phone and hoping for the best. There is a clear process behind every shoot day and understanding what that looks like will help you see exactly what you are paying for and what you are walking away with.

Before the Shoot: The Brief

Everything starts with a brief. Before our team shows up, we go through what you sell, who you sell to, what platforms you are on, and what you need the content to do. From there we build a shot list. This is the plan for the day. It tells us what we are filming, in what order, and what the goal of each clip is. You review it before we arrive so there are no surprises.

When Our Team Arrives

We come to you. There is no studio, no travel arrangements on your end. Our team shows up at your space with everything we need. We do a quick walkthrough of the location, identify the best spots for lighting and framing, and get set up. This usually takes about 15 minutes.

During the Shoot

Once we are set up, we move through the shot list. We direct everything. You do not need to know what angles work or how to frame a shot. We handle all of that. If you are on camera, we guide you through exactly what to say and how to say it. If it is product or lifestyle content, we position and style everything ourselves. We keep the energy moving so we cover everything in the time we have.

What a Typical Shoot Day Looks Like

A standard one time content shoot runs about two hours on location. In that time we typically capture between 20 and 30 raw clips depending on the scope. Some of those clips become standalone posts. Others get cut together into longer pieces or used as b-roll behind voiceovers. The variety of what we capture in those two hours is what gives you a full content bank rather than just a few usable clips.

After the Shoot: Editing and Delivery

Once filming wraps our editors get to work. Raw footage goes through the full editing process. Videos are cut, captioned, colour-graded and formatted for the right platforms. You receive final deliverables that are ready to post. No extra steps on your end. Turnaround time depends on the volume of content but most clients receive their finished videos within a few business days of the shoot.

Why This Process Works

The reason our clients walk away with content that actually performs is because the process is intentional from start to finish. Nothing is left to chance. The brief means we know what we are capturing before we arrive. The shot list means the day has structure. The editing process means the final product is polished and platform-ready. And because we handle everything, you stay focused on your business while we take care of your content.
